Mood lighting has progressed past candles and scarves draped over lampshades. It’s a good thing too, because we were all burning our houses down. The latest generation of novelty lighting uses LEDs for clean, pure light that can be programmed to cycle through colors or dim to different levels. For starters, it’s a beautiful, minimalist white plastic light that you will hardly even notice when it’s not on (unless you like it so much that you want to display it). When it’s lighted up, however, the minimalist white plastic turns into a gleaming halo of color floating above your table and radiating brilliant colors. To change between the seven colors, turn on the cycle, or dim the lights, just use the invisible touchpad inside the circle. This is an amazing little light that’ll set the mood in any modern living room.
I am thrilled with my Color Changing LED Mood Light. Think of this lamp, made by Cielux, as sort of a 21st century lava lamp. The lamp gives off delightfully relaxing auroras of radiant colors, seven in all (plus, a “Rainbow” mode). It is very easy to switch from one color to the next, so you can change the entire mood of a room quite easily with just a few strokes on the intuitive touch-pad. The actual lamp is a small and unassuming plain, white disk, but it’s amazing what it can do when it’s turned on. This color changing LED mood light puts out excellent ambient light for garden parties, and can make a small, dark space seem quite festive for indoor parties.
